CBS46 Investigates Atlanta Permanent Makeup & Microblading Clinics

This CBS46 investigation uncovers the perils consumers face due to the lack of regulation in the micropigmentation industry in Atlanta. Micropigmentation is a very fine, computer assisted system of tattooing eyebrows, eyeliner, eyeshadow and lip color most commonly referred to as permanent makeup or semi-permanent makeup.

According to the CBS46 investigation, the unregulated permanent makeup and microblading industry can be a danger to unsuspecting consumers, who in many cases are being treated by “technicians” with only a two-day training seminar. This has left many who were attracted to a lower price offered at such clinics with disastrous results which must be corrected by actual professionals like Milla Rosen of Permanent Makeup by Milla.

In the investigation, Milla states: “Unfortunately, I would say at least 75 percent of my work is correcting somebody else's mistakes on clients faces,” she said. “The worst probably was a young lady, really pretty, she came with two pairs of eyebrows."

A licensed esthetician, Milla Rosen has performed thousands of hours of training and micropigmentation procedures in the 15 years she's been practicing. According to Milla, you should only consider having micropigmentation of any kind, performed by a licensed technician with relevant education credentials and training certificates posted on their wall, (As seen in the CBS46 footage of Permanent Makeup by Milla), with at least five to ten years of experience.
